“What’s Next?”
I ran some early morning errands the day after Christmas, cause I knew it was going to be a crazy shopping/return day for most people. It always amazes me that my dog can deal with me randomly leaving him in the car as I run in to use the ATM or whatever place I need to go to. He gets no explanation as to what is happening but just lives in the present and goes with it. This is him on such an occasion and looking almost hopeful.
“Double Dog Dare” This weekend Hipstamatic is having one of their Retro Pak sales where they sell a bundle of their retired/limited lens and films for the weekend. Having missed out on some of the lenses they were offering, I bought the pak up right away. This is a picture using one of the new lenses which creates a slight ghost mirrored image layer on top of the picture. I love the new film in this pak as it gives a light threaded material look to the picture.
“Minimal Christmas”
This year is the first time in 3 years that I’ve had any Christmas decoration at all up in the apartment I live in. It just seems to be too much work to dress up everything and I always go back to my parents’ house for Christmas so I get to see their big tree.
This tree is a tiny two-foot tall decoration that my brother and I had in our shared room for Christmas when we were growing up. It now has a home here and is the perfect size to match my tiny dog.
“The Last Vestiges of Graphic Tees”
If you knew me for the past 5 years or so, you know I like graphic tees. I like finding ones that other people aren’t likely to have, unless I get them as a memento of a convention (then a TON of people will have the same one). That has changed, however. It’s not that I don’t like good designs, I do, it’s that I have started to embrace a simpler look in terms of wardrobe. This involves plain, solid colored shirts.
My picture of the day is of the last of my graphic tees, in fact, these are my very favorite ones. They have now been donated. I realize I don’t need them anymore and this picture is a way I can remember them.
